Performance marketing is the art & science of showing up in front of the right person at the right time
Many years ago I used to say that SEO is the art and science of showing up in front of users when they are searching for your services or products.
But now with the advent of social media marketing, this quote by Deepan Siddhu is more apt for the times.
I want to make a prediction that in the very near future, the ‘Art’ component of the above quote will be reduced further and may one day be eliminated, at least in the case of Google Adwords.
Here’s what I see happening in the near future;
In Google Ads, Google will say;
A) Provide your Landing Page URL.
B) Google will then apply it’s 20 Years of experience in Adwords and provide You with the best performing ads and options with the latest in AI.
C) You just have to select your top choices of the text ad options provided by Google.
D) For images, Google will show you options from your own landing page or You could create with an inbuilt Canva like photo editor.
E) Finally just set the bidding and budget & You are good to go.
So, summing up, Google will provide You with a ‘Done For You’ Google Ads, and You just need to input your budget and bids.
Most of these options are already available with Best Suggestions for Headlines & Description, but I am talking about making it so simple, that grandpa and grandma will also be setting up Google Ads 🙂
All this being said, for the higher end brands with big budgets there will always be a need for Performance Marketing specialists with in-depth knowledge of online advertising platforms.
