Iron Maiden are scheduled to play at the Bandra Kurla Complex, with this IronMaiden kickoff their first leg of the “SOMEWHERE BACK IN TIME World Tour 08”
Bruce had announced earlier this year in Bangalore that Iron Maiden would be back in India soon, so this great news for Iron Maiden fans.
I shall keep all updates posted here. Just like the previous Bangalore concert, this post shall have all the Iron Maiden Bombay concert related reviews, videos, reviews, ticket availability and related news & info.Would request other Iron Maiden Fans to also please keep me posted here on any developments, Thx. So far no ticket sales dates have been put up. For the previous Bangalore concert, tickets were available at Planet M stores & for online sale of tickets was managed by TicketPro through here: http://www.ticketpro.in/

hey,Ive been waiting for maiden to come back.I was there for their last concert too and ill be flying out to mumbai to see them again.I do however,wanna noe if there’s anyone who can get me a free pass.Does anyone know people in DNA or thru some other contact who can get free passes.Last time my friend got free passes for us at the bangalore iron maiden concert.I would also like to know if there’s any way by which we can meet the maiden guys close and personal like at their hotel or backstage???

People who would be getting free passes to the Iron Maiden Concert would keep that to themselves..right?
Last time, there was an offer for Iron Maiden Fan club members for an additional price for access to Iron Maiden backstage. This time, as yet the ticket sales info has not been declared, there’s no announcement for backstage passes yet. Guess, we shall need some more patience.

I’m from Malaysia and I’m a big fan of the Beast. It’s too bad they’re not coming over here. Anyway, if the ticket prices are Rs 1800, I would say it’s cheap. Now, you you help me out a bit? I’m interested in coming over and I’m hoping that you know where are the great places to stay (cheap but still comfortable, that is). So far I think the air ticket is the biggest bomb but I’m working myself out to cover that. How are the expenses over there?

Yes, there’s gonna be a demand-supply for sure. So, I bet there would lot of tickets which will be sold at the ‘black’ market rates. So far no announcement as yet from DNA or TicketPro on the sale of tickets for the Iron Maiden Concert.

Hello everyone..
i see a lot of queries regarding tickets and prices and stuff like that..
obviiously that is our major concern.
so for a start tickets will be available at planetM and ticketpro.in from end of next month.most probably from 20th dec. or in worst case 1st jan.
the tickets are priced at around Rs.2,500 guess that will be the front rows, but still its quite a lot compared to banglore, that is because in mumbai taxes are much more.

With our jumbo there really is no rime nor reason why the band cannot now visit fans almost everywhere as many have been real troopers to have waited this long. Heaven only knows what the band will choose but if l could and did tell you now l would have to shoot you! You’ll all have to be patient and see. But it will be spectacular. No fear!!”

That’s what everyone is confused about, Siddhartha. As of now they are only available online at ticketpro and a couple of other sites..
They will be available at Planet M and Baskin Robbins, but we don’t know when..

Hey the day after my previous post i got mt my tickets online good thing since i hear 1650 tickets are sold out and now today the just reached yay
nice and fancy like a currency note if you hold it up to the ligh u can see alternating whit and black ‘s’s god knows why..and a nice gold stamp at the back i hope camera phones are allowed….though with my crappy 1.3mp god knows what ill record….and yeah im interested in the landing details my scholl/coll is right next to the airport i can see planes coming and going hopefully i get a pic

As well as everyone else on our 757 we have now added a seven man documentary crew who, as in their note below, are asking for Maiden fans in the many cities we play in Feb – Mar to contact them to be a part of this. This will be such an incredible and exciting tour that we agreed with Scot and Sam’s proposal to document this so if you see cameras following us around everywhere and around the stage you now know why!! A record of this is something that the band and myself would love to have and we are feel that many of you fans may feel hopefully feel the same – there has never been a tour quite like this before!.

IRON MAIDEN FANS WANTED FOR OFFICIAL TOUR DOCUMENTARY
Directors Scot McFadyen and Sam Dunn of Banger Films Inc. (creators of the critically acclaimed, award-winning documentary Metal: Headbanger’s Journey and its soon-to-be-released follow-up Global Metal) are looking for Iron Maiden fans to be part of a feature documentary that will follow the first leg of the band’s upcoming Somewhere Back in Time tour during February and March.
On Feburary 1, Iron Maiden and their 70-strong road crew will embark on their most ambitious tour ever. They will load into a specially refitted Astreaus Boeing 757 decked out in iconic Eddie artwork and carrying 12 tons of equipment. For this first leg of the tour, they will then fly over 70,000 km to 21 cities across 4 continents, playing to over 400,000 fans in just 45 days. All this with lead singer/commercial pilot Bruce Dickinson at the helm.

They are now seeking Maiden fans in India, Australia, Japan, North America, Central America and South America to be part of this historic mission. If you’re a die-hard Maiden fan who is attending one or more concerts on the first leg of the upcoming tour (February 1 to March 16 2008) and are willing to be interviewed on camera about your passion for all things Maiden,

Well, the person from the company which is doing press releases for DNA Mumbai, is saying that they are leaving on 30th Jan. So, most probs, they would arrive in the afternoon on 30th. Will let you know, if I get the exact timing.

yeah i read the ticket and it doesn’t say for sure that you cant carry a camera as it says thats one cant carry one unless specified otherwise ..and in udit’s post it seems quite clear that they want fans to record stuff…. im trying to look up the post on the maiden website would appreciate udit if you could send me the original link thanks
also i had mentioned earlier that tickets might be sold out its not true just a rumor…..

i re read the thing on the maiden site and that not quite what they are saying…no i dont think u can carry cams well actually im pretty sure you cant…firstly u need to send an email interview to get picked and then they interview you ..you dont film anything yourself…ah well hopefully ill get some plane pics…someone should stand on juhu beach wen they are leaving u get an awesome pic of the front and underneath wen they are taking from there……landing is dicey i might or might not get a pic…..
also i found out some lucky ppl got to fly the maiden tour plane as their plane had technical difficulties ..as it was an Astraeus plane they got to use the maiden plane since it was sitting around (and it was commissioned from Astraeus) …heres the official thread..http://www.ironmaiden.com/index.php?categoryid=8&p2_articleid=741

btw: I do not understand as to why there is such a hula bu about cameras. The ticket clearly says that No cameras allowed.
However, cell phones with cameras were allowed for the last Iron Maiden concert in Bangalore.

u can buy maiden shirts in bandra (west) at hill road. u might get there u might have to search for it though but u do get there for sure……

you should get maiden t-shirts at inorbit in malad but i dunno exactly where in inorbit…..check levis first then look around…some of my friends got theirs from there…
