It was a nice analysis on the possibilities of the Ring tones being marketed. Why not? I am for anything which helps the majority to cut the costs. Ofcourse, then people should have the choice of what they want to sponsor or support. Indians should promote Paav vadas instead of Pizzas and burgers!!
I am planning to see a good family flick these days, and am not sure if Jhoom baraber fits the bill.

i liked dwijal's assessment the best.
that said, this is by far the worst movie i have ever seen, or ever wish to see, and thats putting it mildly. I saw this with seven other indians, who are typical hindi movie buffs. All of us sat slack jawed in wonder how on earth could someone invest money in making this bullcrap.
For those defending the movie saying its typical masala movie, no its not. its an untalented director's onanistic fantasy down an egotistic highway, who started believing his own hype. If i wanted an unending musical video that entertained me, i'd go find snoop dogg's.
If words were long hard pointy things studded with nails, i'd beat the crap out of the director with them.

It was ok, but i was surprised at how often the topic s** came up. Indian movies sure have changed. Now every movie has a love scene in bed or a long lip-kiss. they should really cut down.

Watched this movie at home. God, what a piece of r*****. I will say that as a collection of sequences, its great. The songs are good, choreography is great, art work is awesome, sequences of taj, humayuns tomb etc are romantic, and LOTS of styles...ranging from talking to the camera to doing a take on usual suspects in the end have been used. But the problem is, its a movie - not a music video. So much potential...all down the drain - if only the director didnt fall in love with his own ideas so much.

At the risk of sounding either like someone who loves rubbish in the name of cinema, or a pseudo-art-house-film-lover, I think this movie was good "timepass"! Now that's one word all Indians are familiar with, I'm sure. Of course this movie doesn't hold a candle to Iqbal or Rang De Basanti...but come on, isn't it silly to compare these in the first place?? And I'm sure everyone who went for the movie knew they were going in for some mindless entertainment. If the promos were any indication, this was not really aiming at being India's entry at the next Oscars, and the producers made no bones about that! A little letting go never hurt anyone, did it?

I am really confuses after reading how other people are reviewing this movie. I was looking forward to seeing this movie and after watching it I was COMPLETELY satisfied. For those who did not like it I feel like saying a few things. If you are an OFFBEAT movie watcher and if your favorite movies are named "DOR" then chances are you are not going to like JBJ. Its just that simple! It was apparent what this movie is going to be like from the trailers. Did you guys even watch the previews of the movie before decided if the movie is worth your money? It promised exactly what it looked like. A perfect Bollywood masala movie which helps you relax with a cold soda and buttery pop corn in your hand, enjoy the eye candy and sway with the music. I saw Dor, Shoot at lakhanwala and other OH SO SERIOUS and OFFBEAT movies as well and I don't think those were any better than JBJ. Truth is every movie has its own genre. If you don't like the masala genre don't go to the thretre and then complain about wasting your money.
