Broadband through Gas Pipes

And now we have Broadband through Gas Pipes !!

Nethercomm Corporation has filed patents and has the Technical & Business Teams engaged to deploy this new technology.
Internet, Television, Phone, Broadband through Gas Pipes
So, what this essentially means is that Television, Internet & Phone Services can be deployed to your home through your existing incoming gas pipe connection.

They claim advantages are lowest cost & highest bandwith throughput.

Here’s what their website says:

Nethercomm transmits digital pulses that are timed very precisely across a large number of frequency channels simultaneously.

By transmitting in a buried infrastructure Nethercomm harnesses a combination of basic physics, a free spectrum and low-cost radio technology to deliver enormous amounts of data through metallic and plastic natural gas pipelines.

The infrastructure can support multiple Television, HDTV, Telephony, Internet and other service providers simultaneously.

Hmmm..well, we have piped gas now in Mumbai, however, not yet in Pune :(

Wonder when this technology can reach here…..in 2020?
